Paper and Pulp

Pulp : A fibrous material made from wood, fiber crops, waste paper, or rags that is broken down chemically, semi-chemically, or mechanically to produce cellulosic fibers. Pulp is also used directly in other products, such as diapers, menstrual products, computer screens, construction, paint, and clothes.

Paper : A sheet used for packaging, decorating, writing or printing that is made from cellulose fibers from wood chips.

For general and tradional paper and pulp industry, there are many chemical products that Stellar Unity can supply. Molded pulping is another way of producing paper packgaing direct from pulp which could pave the way to reach carbon footprint policy. Stellar Unity has been initiating the next wave of oil and grease proofing agent for the future food packaging, let us collaborate!

Cat Rosin Sizing 435

Cat Rosin Sizing (CRS) 435 is Cationic Rosin Sizing, slightly with cationic charge. It is a chemical additive used in papermaking, water treatment, and textile and coating auxiliary applications. CRS is a material that is added to paper pulp during refining to make paper more resistant to water. It is not used alone. Alum, or aluminum sulfate, is added otgether to help the rosin stick to the paper fibers.

Dry Strength Agent 20%

Dry Strength Agent 20% is a paper chemical that improves the dry strength of paper. It is a copolymer of acrylic acid and acrylamide, and it works by increasing the hydrogen bonding strength amongth paper fibers.

Oil and Grease proofing agent

An Oil and Grease Proofing Agent is a substance that prevents grease, oil, or water from leaking from paper and paperboard packaging, usually based on Fluoro chemicals. The phase out of Fluoro has been noticed recently and most of molded pulp manufacturers are looking for an environmentally-friendly option that Stellar Unity has to offer the right candidate.

Quat 188

A Cationic Monomer, Quat 188 is an aqueous solution of N-(3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl) trimethylammonium chloride. It is an effective. cationic monomer used to modify natural and synthetic polymers to produce quaternary ammonium compounds for paper, water treatment, and textile chemicals.

Water proofing agent

Water Proofing Agent is derived from AKD (Alkyl Ketene Dimer). AKD is highly effective in improving the water resistance of paper products, providing a protective barrier against moisture while maintaining the paper's strength and quality. Water proofing property of paper is not important only during the usage of the paper but also during the inventory in the storage conditions where high humidity and moist are challenging.

Wet Strength Agent

Wet Strength Agents are polymers that are added to paper during manufacturing to enhance its mechanical properties and resistance to impact.
